Coaching works very well in a group format. Participants with similar goals, values, and/or challenges can benefit from the shared wisdom, support, and feedback of other members. We utilize a conference call format, so the customer benefits from the both the convenience (no driving or parking!), and the structure and accountability of weekly phone calls. A coaching call prep sheet is e-mailed to participants prior to each coaching group. The prep sheet has useful questions such as: What were your biggest challenges this week? Each participant e-mails their responses to entire group prior to the call. Therefore, the clients set the agenda. Currently Explore Options Consulting is offering two telephonic coaching groups: Coaching Group for Psychotherapists, date TBA. POST-BARIATRIC SURGERY PATIENTS: STAY ON TRACK. Coaching group for individuals who have received bariatric surgery for weight reduction. The next group will begin in September. Space is
limited, so reserve your spot today. What is it? v Weekly coaching groups by phone. v Call in from the convenience of your home or office. v No traffic, no parking hassles; ideal for busy people on-the-go Why? v Maximize your success with habit & lifestyle changes required post-surgery What will I get out of it? v The shared wisdom, support, feedback of the group v The structure and accountability of weekly phone calls v Individualized action plans for achieving your goals What will it cover? v Group members set the agenda. Topics may include: v Staying on track with nutritional and exercise goals v Creating strategies to manage body image concerns & relationship challenges v Long-term maintenance of attitudes & actions that support a healthy lifestyle

Angela Gilbert, Psy.D. In the group format, the participants on the call set the agenda according to their individualized goals, challenges, and opportunities. Each person responds to a coaching call prep form, which is e-mailed to the entire group prior to the call. Participants use the shared wisdom, support, and feedback of the group, along with the structure and accountability of weekly phone calls to move forward on their individualized action plans. Topics may include: staying on track with nutritional and exercise goals; creating strategies for managing body image concerns and relationship challenges; and long-term maintenance of attitudes and actions that support a healthy lifestyle. Coaching is not psychotherapy or counseling, and it is not a substitute for these services. Coaching provides tools to empower individuals to actively pursue their desired outcomes. | |
